Day 25: What does Jesus look like to me?
That’s hard to describe. Jesus is the One who knows me best. He is like a Bridegroom rejoicing over His bride. He is my best friend, bravest warrior, and victorious champion. He stands up for what is right, tenderly heals my wounds, and remembers every tear I’ve cried. He is the Lover of my soul. The only way for me to describe what He looks like to me is to show you this:
-
Day 24: Fave Christian Artist
I love “The Parable of the Prodigal Son” by Rembrandt - and the book written about it by Henri Nouwen…
But if this list is referring to music artists, I’d have to say Tommy Walker or HIllsong. My heart is so lifted when I hear these songs…
If it’s referring to filmmakers, my husband is the one who has vision like David’s imagination, but the film’s not done yet…

Day 23: Back to (Ministry) School
Honest to goodness, I don’t want to go back to school. As soon as I finished my credential program, I had no desire to go any further into debt than I already am. Sheesh! The only way I think I could be convinced would be if I was promised a randoseru in any color I wanted.

Seriously, though, if God wanted to send me to any kind of school, I’d go. But right now, my home is my classroom.

Day 22: My Hero (aside from Jesus) from the Bible
Today, I’ve got David on my mind. He was unlike any hero of the Bible because we really get to know his life story. We see him aligned with God, and we see him failing, deep in sin.
But the classic story of David, the youngest son of Jesse, shedding Kind Saul’s heavy armor and weapons, using that which he was trained to use: a sling, and a stone he chose from a brook nearby the battle. I mean, you’ve got to be walking with the Lord to be on a battlefield, and have no armor on, and walk over to a brook to find five stones. Even though he had his guard down in a worldly sense, David knew God was on his side.
And with God on our side, honestly, who can be against us and win?
P.S. Thundarr just for fun.

Day 21: How I Deal with the Secular World
a.k.a. the world at large
I live in it, but my citizenship rests in Heaven. I know Whose I am, and I know where I’m really from. The only way I can possibly have peace in my heart is to allow my heart to rest in Jesus. Jesus wasn’t asleep on the boat during the storm on the sea of Galilee because he was simply tired; He was at rest because His heart dwelt in Heaven! Being at peace in His heart, and at one with the Father gave Jesus the power to speak peace to the physical world, calming even the waves of the sea!
So I suppose I deal with the world by loving others where they are, and knowing that this isn’t my true home. That being said, I live to see God’s glory revealed here, while I’m here. People who are thirsty need refreshment, and I’ve got it. Jesus is the living water - and when I’m alive in Him, I don’t thirst for the things of this world.

Day 19: Televangelists
I don’t watch televangelists.
Before I was saved, I was home one summer from college, and Joel Osteen came on TV after some show, and my older brother and mom both said something to the effect of:
“Oh, this guy. He’s so nice, and his message is so great.”
Only, Joel Osteen doesn’t preach the entirety of the Bible. He is making tons of money by telling people warm, fuzzy messages, and writing books all about how he has white teeth and a beautiful wife and that people deserve to have whatever stuff they want.
That’s false. It’s called heresy.
Also, recently, he was asked about the truth about heaven and hell, and he wouldn’t take a stand. What kind of FOLLOWER of Jesus (or claimed follower) wouldn’t stand up for the one who makes a clear distinction about exactly that issue?
So no, I don’t. But I do watch Sifl & Olly because they’re socks, and they hilarious. Actually, I just keep remembering the title of the show, and really nothing else. Was it on MTV, back when MTV was actually music television? Remember those days? I like the name Olly.

Day 18: Least Favorite Christian Artist
What a weird prompt.
I suppose I don’t like when any person who claims to be an artist, whether Christian or secular, is just. plain. cheesy.
But it’s especially odious when a Christian, who is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, creates junk for people to consume… junk food is unhealthy, whether physical or spiritual. So that being said, Christians, we should be at the head of the helm in every field - artistically, scholastically, professionally…

Day 17: The Most Important Thing
-
Day 16: Fave New Testament Verse
Ephesians 3:20
Now unto Him, who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we could ask or even think, according to the power that is at work within us…P.S. This video is just amazing. It’s beyond what I could ever ask or even think.

Day 15: My G-g-g-g-generation
How can I best describe those folks around thirty? Well… Matthew 12:39 puts it perfectly.
“A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.”
I must say though, some of the folks I’ve had the pleasure to meet, both inside and out of the church, have been an inspiration. My close friends, the Hoopers, just took in a baby boy for the foster-to-adopt program. I know a team that is putting together their creative minds to retell a testimony that is going to knock your socks off! It’s an exciting time for the church, and for what the Holy Spirit is doing. I want to join Him, and I pray you do, too.
This generation doesn’t have to be a part of wicked adultery… but alas…
